How do I set my availability on Forward?

The Forward availability toggle allows you to set your availability status to Available / Unavailable / On Call. This makes it even easier to identify the person you are looking for.


How do I change my availability status ?

📌 From the app home page,

  • Click ‘Settings’ at the top left of the screen
  • Change Availability setting using the toggle

Why is it important to update your availability status?

If you want to contact a health professional and you don’t have their personal mobile number or even a bleep number, you can spend long periods of time on phone to switchboard trying to find out who to speak to. This can be incredibly frustrating and time wasting.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could find who you wanted when you needed them? That’s why you can search the Forward ‘My Hospital’ directory by name or specialty.
