How do I use the Forward directory?

The Forward directory is one of our favourite features as it connects each hospital and also the NHS community. This is exciting because this level of connection has not existed before.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could find who you wanted when you needed them? That’s why you can search the Forward ‘My Hospital’ directory by name or specialty.


How do I find who I am looking for on Forward?

📌 From the app home page,

  • Click the green + button in the bottom right corner
  • Select ‘New Message’
  • Search the directory by name or specialty
  • Select the person you want
  • Send a message

Obviously the directory becomes even more valuable the more people that are on the app. Therefore you can invite your colleagues if you cannot find them on the directory by clicking the ‘Send Invitation’ button. You can read more about this here.

Using my availability toggle

When you click settings at the top left corner, you can change your availability toggle to Available / Unavailable / On Call. This affects the colour of your icon in the directory so that people can find the right person for their query faster.
